Most LDS people know the story of “The First Vision” regarding the two-thirds, the “sealed” portion of the “golden plates,” founder Joseph Smith spoke of in the 1820’s — but are left wondering what was contained in these “sealed plates.”
In the 180 years since there seems to be little expectation or anticipation any more, at least openly, regarding the “two-thirds” that were NOT translated but are promised to come someday.
The Urantia Book provides an expanded view of:
- The entire life of Jesus from before birth to His resurrection and appearances.
- Our place in the universe.
- Our origin, history and destiny
- Adam and Eve in detail never imagined before. These two amazing beings are explained in precise detail and the complicated legacy they left behind can now be understoood.
- Melchizek, known in the Urantia Book as the “Sage of Salem.” He was here to teach us trust and faith and shore up the religious life of people prior to Jesus’s mission on earth.
- And so much more about our heavenly father, the ministering angels, and the progressive attainment that awaits us, if we so choose.
